Rise Through Resilience provides financial assistance to support the recovery and independence of individuals living with spinal cord injuries and other neurological injuries or illnesses. Our funding helps bridge gaps in access to high-quality care and essential resources.
Our support may include:
Funding for physical therapy sessions at licensed neuro-rehabilitation clinics that provide evidence-based, individualized treatment.
We encourage applicants to meet with their clinical team to determine the best licensed neuro-rehabilitative provider for their recovery.Assistance with the purchase of adaptive or therapeutic equipment that improves mobility, independence, safety, or functional recovery.
Supplemental support for recovery-related needs that directly enhance an individual’s ability to participate in rehabilitation or maintain measurable progress.
Eligibility & Geographic Focus:
At this time, Rise Through Resilience Foundation is only accepting applications for funding within New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania from individuals who are living with spinal cord injuries or other neurological injuries or illnesses. Funding decisions are based on the anticipated impact of the service or equipment on the applicant’s recovery and independence.
Before You Apply
As part of our application review process, we require several supporting documents before an application can be presented to our Advisory Board for consideration. Please have available as you complete your application:
A current prescription for physical therapy or neurological rehabilitation services from your treating physician (dated within the last six months
A copy of your most recently filed federal tax return (please redact your Social Security Number)
A completed Maximizing Your Benefits Worksheet.
To ensure funding is awarded responsibly and equitably, the Foundation reserves the right to request medical documentation, financial information, treatment plans, or provider statements that verify the nature of the injury, the necessity of the request, and the expected benefit.

We encourage all applicants to use the tools provided on this page to clarify what is covered, identify remaining benefits, and explore reimbursement and appeal options. Our goal is to supplement—not replace—available coverage, so that funding can go further and support as many individuals as possible. Please contact your insurance provider to answer these questions.
